Hands-On Courses

Hands on courses include some practical activity using our phantom-head patient simulators or in-house laboratory.

All equipment and materials will be provided. All courses are held at the Wessex Dental Specialist Centre facilities in Fareham, Hampshire. All courses meet the GDC criteria for continuing education, and certificates will be provided to add to your CPD portfolio.

• Adhesive dentistry, design and preparations
• Conventional crown and bridge preparation
• Shade taking and technical liaison
• Practical occlusion-impression taking, occlusal registration and model casting
• Driving a Denar articulator
• Advanced occlusal procedures-diagnostic waxing, occlusal splints and using articulation in treatment planning
• Occlusal management in wear/dysfunction/periodontal cases
• Diagnostic waxing as an aid to treatment planning and execution
