Stewart discussed how this could be achieved and outlined the latest advances in orthodontic technology such as ‘Invisalign’, the appliance that acts like a fixed brace, but is near invisible to the eye.
Presentations were delivered by Alison Davies, Marketing Director of Align Technologies UK, who also presented Stewart with his Platinum Doctor award for the third year running, recognising his success with the ‘Invisalign’ appliance. He was one of the first specialists to be accredited with this award in the UK. Prosthodontic Specialist Martin Lovell also gave a talk about tooth whitening and cosmetic treatments at the Wessex Dental Specialist Centre, including Zoom! tooth whitening treatment, that is so quick it can be done during a lunch break.
Guests ate canapés and drank wine and soft drinks supplied by the Centre, and were treated to a complementary initial orthodontic consultation by Stewart. Isle of Wight dentist Neal Dreyer took up the opportunity to discuss the possibility of having treatment for himself and celebrated his birthday with a bottle of champagne presented by the Wessex Dental Specialist Centre.
“The evening was a huge success,” commented Stewart. “We have an open door policy at the Centre and welcome visitors who can come and view the facilities for themselves and meet the team that will be treating them. We had a great response to the consultations, and hope to run a similar event next year. In the meantime, anyone who wishes to discuss their orthodontic treatment should contact the Centre, and I look forward to meeting them.”
