Contact The Centre

Bernadette gained her MSc in Endodontics from Liverpool University in 1997. She has been working in General Practice in Stubbington and for the Community Dental Services and we are pleased that she has agreed to dedicate time to join our team of clinicians at the centre.

The addition of Bernadette means that we are able to attend to endodontic referrals in a much shorter space of time than we have been able to recently. Bernadette will be pleased to receive referrals for endodontic treatments, for re-treatments, or for endodontic surgery. Please let us know if you would like to restore the root filled tooth yourself or if you would like Bernadette or one of the restorative clinicians to complete the restoration of the tooth.

Please also do not hesitate to contact Bernadette if you have any questions regarding endodontic treatment.

Peter graduated in Dental Science from Trinity College Dublin in 2003 before attending Oxford University on a rugby scholarship fulfilling an ambition to play in the Varsity match and collecting an MSc in Diagnostic Imaging on the way.

During two years at Oxford, Peter worked part-time in General Dental Practices in Abingdon and Bicester . Thereafter Peter undertook two years of house officer posts during which time he completed the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) examination and rotated through a number of dental specialties including Oral Medicine, Restorative Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Guy's Hospital in London and Poole Hospital in Dorset thereby broadening his exposure to a variety of specialties and satisfying the eligibility requirements of the time for application to specialist training.
It was during this period, or more specifically, at the first time of gazing through an endodontic microscope that Peter decided that further training in Endodontics was for him. This event sparked Peter's imagination and forms the start of the answer to the question posed to him on a weekly basis, "but why Endo?"!
And so it went that in 2007 Peter began his three year full time period of Specialist training at the world famous Eastman Dental Hospital in London's Kings Cross under the guidance of Professor Gulabivala.
The three year stint was massively rewarding and beneficial from the perspective of clinical skills, personal development and critical thinking perspectives. Peter picked up a Masters in Clinical Dentistry and is due to sit the Membership in Restorative Dentistry in the summer 2011 for entry onto the Specialist Register in Endodontics.  After three years and hundreds of endodontic cases completed, Peter moved back to the south coast to pursue work opportunities at a variety of Specialist practices in the region. Upon hearing of an opportunity to join the elite team at the Wessex Dental Specialist Centre, Peter jumped at the chance and has "thoroughly enjoyed" getting to know his colleagues at the Wessex. He is similarly enthused about the prospects of developing successful working relationships with the large number of endodontic referrers to the centre. Whether it is simply giving an opinion over the phone, assisting with the treatment planning of General  Dental Practitioners cases or taking requests for the root canal treatment and root canal re-treatment of cases, Peter would love to hear from you.
